It's going to be a long drive up from Bristol too... but hey, it'll be worth it

I've a feeling I've been included as part of the forthcoming social gathering under something of a misguided assumption.

I added my name to the list at a stage of the proceedings which I perceived to be a vote regarding the potential geographical location of the proposed "social." My appearance on said list was in no way an indication that I was expressing a "count-me-in-whatever" interest in the event.

I'd like to wish everyone who's going to do the race the best of luck; and I don't want to be reading any reports of Forum members having brought the sport into disrepute through bad sportsman/womanship, drunkenness, chocolate doping, or the inappropriate application of Compeed...

Come on newly arrived runnersforumites... you are most welcome to join the pardy, and you don't have to race if you don't want to...in fact, having a support group would be great too!

In an ideal world.
But logistically, geographically, economically, and possibly several more "... allys" as well, it's just a non-starter (like me), I'm afraid
