Just added another 268 miles to our trek. Busy week! Much of the route was along the Eyre Highway which has Australia's longest dead-straight stretch of road... 90 miles!
We're currently about 32 miles from the border between Western and Southern Australia.
Once again, we didn't pass through any settlements; just a couple of roadhouses, the Aussie equivalent of the service station.

19.11 today... my longest run on a Tuesday. It was prescribed by my consultant and I had to go and have an ultrasound scan straight after.

I was thinking while I was out running today (coz I had a lot of time to think

) wouldn't it be great to have the Worlds Straightest Marathon on that road in Australia... have something big enough for you to see the finish from the start... it'd be a real mental test!

A marathon in a dead-straight line? Mental torture surely. Very demoralising, as the scenery doesn't appear to change and you'd never appear to be getting anywhere. The horizon would never get any nearer either.
That road doesn't look flat either, does it?

It's been a while since I've added anything... and I'm sure I missed a mile or two... but time to get stuck in again. Impressive to see how well your mileage has picked up Ped after you were struggling not so long ago. Great stuff!!!

I think it would be quite a challenge... like I said, a real mental test...sort the men from the boys and the women from the girls kinda thing. I'd take it on
