Hi guys, I think the scottish run is a little disorganised because the details given are rather vague.
So far I have possibles from:
Owain, Squint, calton1954, mijogger, lairdy21, Altna, garywatt.
It would be good if we could put this one together like the Winter social, so if all interested parties could give the following info, I'll update the planning page
1. Would you be interested in coming, either to run or spectate/cheer
2. What dates can you do or not do. Date ranges and specific dates.
3. If running what type of race would you like, e.g. 5k, 10k
4. What day and time, e.g. monday, thursday, prefer evening, not sunday morning etc
5. Where are you, and where would you be willing to travel to.

Gary, you having an Aberdonian accent do you do all the vowel substition? ie you say bug not bag, go to the bunk not the bank, have a wickend instead of a weekend, and you spick proper. Also the incorrect use of plurals. You put that things over there or otherwise putting an "s" on the end of something unnessacarily.
Doric is much better.

Bit difficult to commit definitely to anything due to husbands illness but
1. It would be good to meet up either to run or spectate but very slow and unconfident in running abilities so probably spectate.
2. Got no specific dates except away in October (11th for a week) - got a boat lined up on canal in Yorkshire - looking forward to all those flat walks/runs - make a change from our hills.
3. 5k
4. Work all week so weekends best for me.
5. Inverness. Aberdeen a possibility but would depend on family circumstances at time.

1. Run
2. Would consider any date, although September is out.
3. 5k, 10k, or 1/2 Marathon
4. Weekend would be best
5. We're in Renfrewshire, so anywhere central. Highlands and Lowlands are a tough trek for us but again, we'll consider anything!
Hope we can get something sorted

When you say Central, what cities are we talking?
I imagine being near Glasgow you could catch the train to most places?

Yeah, pretty much Bairy. Although we could drive too. Anywhere on the central belt would be cool with us.

I didn't reply because I thought I would wait and see the final plans.
I will be away in Gran Canaria at the time of the original proposed meet in October, though for the very first time I will be taking my running shoes on holiday with me. It should be cool enough to run in the mornings and my partner likes to sleep later.
As well as the fact I am really quite shy, I also have to try and fit in my races (and my holidays) around the SPL season (sad but true ). I love running but i have to fit it around my football addiction...

It might not take place in October. December, January or even February are possibilities, dependant on what events are happening of course.
