Glasgow Half Marathon

Anyone out there doing the glasgow half marathon on sunday week.
Got my number and chip yesterday, the nerves are beginning to jangle (first race of any kind, since school sports!).

Looks like the course is fairly flat, can anyone confirm?

This is my first time doing this race - I'm only doing the 10k tho'.

No idea about how flat the course is, but should be an experience running over the Kingston Bridge.

I like running over bridges. Does the 10k start with the 1/2 marathon?

10k starts 30mins ahead of HM.

My left leg seems to have disintegrated over the last two weeks, so I'll be the one limping over the line

Dan, I would have thought you should have your number by now.

Half starts at 10am, 10K at 9am. Both routes are fairly flat, there are a couple of inclines but nothing serious. Lets hope the weather hold out.

Running over the bridge WILL be great, faster than the car I would think

Just had a letter from the race organisers. I am not sure if this will apply to anyone, but if you are planning on getting the 8am train from Edinburgh, or catching it at any of the stations on its way to Glasgow, then it is expected to be delayed because of engineering works on the line.
It is not expected to arrive in glasgow until after 9am; when after nine it doesn't say.

Good luck to everyone, hope you have a good run.
