Well, I did a 35:46 5 mile on Tuesday so I reckon if I hold that pace for another 1.2 miles then I have a chance of getting sub 45. I reckon I will be a bit annoyed if I don't do it to be honest.....will see how it goes. Its a 2.5 loop course so will see how it goes for the first loop and then start to pick up the pace for the second for a fast finish....well, thats the plan!

O.

Well, it seems to me, and others might be able to add to this, but you either get a chip that is activated when you both cross the start and finish line, or just the finish line.

In the case of the former you wll get both a chip time i.e. how long it took you to get from start to finish and a gun or race time being how long it took for you to get to the finish line after the race officially started even if you don't cross the start line at this time. (Does this make any sense or am I confusing things?)

However, if it takes you 2 minutes to cross the start line it does add the extra 2 minutes to your race time!

Bracknell, I know, is chipped on just the finish time, I have no idea about Wokingham as I've never ran it before.

Maybe the other Bracknell runner has run it?
