Chuckie: You asked for a challange so here it is, if you accept it.
Your current time for the 5m handicap route is 40:08, how about trying to get it down to 38:00 at the end of June?
I was going to say May but with the marathon its maybe not the best idea

To be honest, I reckon you have the legs for it, just work on the pacing. If you don't get it for the end of June we can move it to the next month. Its just something to aim for
Get Bruce on to this forum as well and I will give him a challange as well

My challenge (set by Owain) was to equal my half marathon PB of just under 1 hour 46 minutes.
The good news - I crossed the finish line in 1 hour 15 minutes.
The bad news - I was in an a car...
After 4 miles I was feeling strong and making good progress - nearly 3 minutes ahead of schedule. Then my calf muscle went pop. I knew instantly that my race was over.
Looks like I'll be having a good long rest from running
Lesson learned - always warm up properly before a race.

Having been away from the forums for a while I had completely missed this thread! Would anyone like to challenge me? Am planning on doing mostly 10ks this year as I've decided that's my favourite distance. Will also be redoing the Norwich half I expect in November. Best time so far for 10k - 1:07:10 although my garmin suggested I'd done more than 10k by then! Must learn to take the racing line...

I completed my challenge of running the 10k yesterday in under 65mins - managed 63 mins 12 secs. Was a hilly course, so was very pleased.
Am running another 10k on 14th June - is an off road run, and I've yet to do any trail running, so I'm not sure how much this will affect my time... Would be up for another challenge?
