Self challenges are not allowed.
Ok, how's this: July is your first half which is a sure PB and sets the benchmark, so your challenge is to improve in October, your July time by 6 minutes

Wouldn't be a challenge if it didn't seem a lot. You have already knocked that off your 5k time though

I'm jealous of all you folk with challenges, I want one!!!
I realise no one around here knows me, so I'll give a bit of background. I'm 18 now, used to do a lot of sport, stopped when i was 16, and have started running again a couple of weeks ago with the intention of being quite serious about it. I have entered the Middlesbrough 10km in September. When i was 15, I ran a 5k in 21.25 without any running training (but i was playing rugby regularly).
I hope to pop along to the free 5km parkrun in Middlesbrough soonish too.
So, what you got for me?

Sub 45 at the Middlesbrough 10K suit you, or am I being too lenient?

Just ask! I see you're doing the Race for Life next month- you could ask for a challenge related to that, or a more longer-term goal to keep you motivated once RFL is out of the way, perhaps?

I reckon a longer term goal is what is needed, what do you want out of your running?

From one to another I Littala challenge you to complete the Kings Lynn 5k in (after looking at your training 2.6m @ 35min = 13:28) sub 40min. I'm assuming this is your first event? Then take it from there for your next.

You agreed to that so readily I'm tempted to make it a minute or two tougher!
Don't forget to send a PM to Owain so he can add you to the list!
