Deep breath!
I'm up for a challenge! (just a nice ickle one please)
I started a run/walk program in late august, and have been running 3 miles for about a month. I'm hoping to run the LLanelli half on 7th March.
My longest run is currently 4 miles, going up to 5 miles next week. My best time is about 11 minutes per mile (I'm like a giant tortoise!)
Any ideas anyone?

Failed my challenge. Was on course to do it but the conditions were terrible and I couldnt get a good stride going. My calf muscles were hurting and I could feel my feet slipping under me.
Will have a bash again in the new year.
Next up, I have a 5k on the 9th of December and a Half Marathon on the 17th. Any challenges welcome. Current Pb's aRE 1:42 for a half and 24 minutes for a 5k.

Gutting, Pindar! Next time...
I'll let someone else take care of your half challenge, but I reckon if you're on for a 45min 10K, your 5K time should be quite a bit quicker. I challenge you to do a 5K in 21:30!

Whilst new here, I'd like to hang around and make some buddies out of you guys and gals!
I've just started following the popular Couch-to-5k schedule at the moment. I'm due to complete it on the 1st March, having started on New Years Eve. I'm still in the walking, running phase (week 3 of 9), so don't know my overall pace. Having monitored it over numerous sessions though, I seem to be very consistent running at a pace of 10km/h. I'm sure I could push myself harder, but I'm trying to be wise in not overdoing it, and the purpose of setting out is returning home injury free without burnout or fatigue.
I'm a 24 years old male, 5'11", and 11 stone. I don't have much running experience. It's probably necessary to mentioned I'm a student paediatric nurse, returning to the feet-aching wards around Easter time. In the past I have had problems with my hamstrings, though I have had none as of yet.
What goal/challenge is reasonable for me and within what time frame?

A challenge for when your c25k plan is finished - how about entering and completing a 5km by the end of March? This will give you a further target to aim for once your training program is over.

Yeah, that would be a nice round-up of your program. I wouldn't focus on a specific time yet, just get that first race experience under your belt.

Oh that's just the start! I've already signed up to Park Run and have printed out my bar code. I'm having to show patience though, so I have itchy, err, feet? The aim is to eventually charity run often, and complete a marathon within 3 years. I'm just around the corner from Bushy Park. Richmond Park and Wimbledon common are local too, so there's plenty of scope for opportunity with Park Run.
In the C25K final week (week beginning 25/2), it's run 30 mins or 5km. I've read suggested times that beginner runners with 6 months experience should be aiming for 24 minutes.
My primary target is upon finishing the programme running 5km in <30 minutes. Beyond that, I'd like a challenge within a 1-2 month window. Is 27 minutes realistic, or is it conjecture given I'm untried a 5km level?

As basd said, its better to just focus on finishing the 5km, with the main focus on enjoying it. Don't worry about finishing time right away.

My first 'race' is entered - I'm doing the Race for Life 5km in Luton at the end of June. So far I've done one 5km run (39mins) - training interrupted by bad weather, till today.
So, what's my goal for the Race for Life? And should I try and find another 5km race before then, June seems such a long way off.
