recovery

I did a very tough 15 mile cross country on saturday and it hurt - a lot, 7 miles of flying, followed by 8 miles of pain and misery - but i did it and in under my 2 hour target for a very tough course, so i'm pretty pleased.

NOW my whole body hurts and i just dont know whether i should take a whole week off or try to venture out into a gentle jog to see if it helps at all.

I can ride my bike as it doesnt hurt the calves nearly as much as running so perhaps i should try a few cycle rides?

Anybody got any suggestions?

thanks,
Craig

take a couple of days off and try to stretch to stop your muscles from completely ceasing up, or if you feel up for it, do some really slow recovery jogs for a couple of miles for a few days.

I'd go with that too, take at least two-three days off, try some cycling if you think you're getting less sore. If that goes well, you might want to try an easy recovery run.
