Nice one.
This week I should be running just over 11 miles over 3 days.
Like you I have picked up a twinge in my left calf.
I'm looking at two timed 3.5 - 4 mile runs (aiming for around 9 mins 30 secs pace), and a long slow run at the weekend of around 5 - 5.5 miles.
I am almost through my first month of running

Over the past couple of months, I've been building up and am now knocking out 16 miles a week easily.
I'm feeling a bit tired so far, but should add a few extra miles this week.

Ooh good, I thread I can post in weekly and not once every blue moon
I hope to hit 14 miles this week.
6 so far, going for a 5k tempo run tomorrow and a LSR of just 5 easy miles on Sunday with Dad, but may not be easy for me when trying to keep up with my Dad!!!

Nine miles so far this week, six on Tuesday and a meagre three last night. Last nights run was one of my most evenly oared runs so far this year, as i have been easing into the runs and picking up the pace recently.
I'll be doing three miles tomorrow and hopefully least six to eight on Sunday.

You'll need to add in your 5 miler now!
Today's run brings me up to 12.1 miles for the week. LSR is tomorrow, aiming for 6-8 miles. My shins were niggling today, so will take it easy and see how it goes tomorrow. Will hopefully hit 20 for the week.

I was just looking at my training log and this is turning out to be my most consistent training since the Berlin marathon in September 09.
Just goes to show how much an injury can knock you off track and how much good treatment can help.

i will slot in here this week, first week for a month that iv dropped below 20 miles, only managed 15.24 as struggling with a bruised tendon on top of my foot , plus a really busy weekend which means no long run this week

The shin splints are back and thwarted my "long" run after a two miles. I had to stop and stretch three times during those two miles.
A grand total of 14.1 miles for the week, meaning I'm now starting to go backwards.

14.35 this week, mileage down about 40% over the last 3 weeks...on the up side my groin feel much better with the lower mileage...
