Ski fitness
I'm taking the "general training" header for this forum to be possibly more general than was intended
Does anyone have/know of any good ski fitness training schedules?
I'm off skiing in mid Feb and would like, for once, to be able to ski as much as I like, without being limited by lack of fitness and strength. My regular running, Tae Kwon Do and yoga should make a big difference, but I'm looking for a training schedule that also specifically targets the muscles that will make a real difference to my skiing.
I'm a member of Ski Club GB but, while they have a load of good ski fitness exercises on their website, there's no indication about how often I need to be doing them. I can make up my own schedule from what they've got, but I'd rather have something put together by someone who knows what they're talking about
I've googled around, too, but most of the stuff I can find just gives a load of exercises, or even a nicely put together circuit, but with no indication of how often you should be doing it.

We're going with a bunch of friends who all have small kids. Apres ski is somewhat limited.
Mind you, we still normally manage to get through a fair slosh of wine in the evenings, once the kids are in bed. And sloe gin during the day on the slopes. Christmas/New Year is the perfect training for that side of things

A place I'd never heard of in Austria. Friends went last year and liked it, so we're joining them this year (we had a year off skiing last year).

Running is like mouthwash; if you can feel the burn, it's working.

Indeed. I do all that already - always stretch lots after any exercise, plus yoga once a week and a good stretching session as part of Tae Kwon Do training once a week.
