My hero

I've just had a close look at Runningfox's biog and training blog, and other than the fact that he's a bit mental, he is officially my hero!

The runningfox is an inspiration to us all - Hope I'm still running those times at 70.

I'm not sure whether to be embarrassed, chuffed or insulted. Wha' d' ya' mean "a bit mental"? Running is the only thing I'm good at so I'm milking it for as long I can. Pity I was 54 before I found out.
Cheers!

Running fox is one of several great examples of why I log on to this site.He is indeed a true inspiration to runners such as myself, even though I am more than half his age!

"Should have been an easy enjoyable run, but turned into an epic in freezing conditions, heavy rain, gale force wind and swollen rivers to wade. Legs frozen. Must get some tights for winter running."

A quote from runningfox's training blog - utterly radio rental!!

As somebody who has come to running late, RunningFox's pb's are inspirational, they demonstrate what is achievable, and for me at leatst give targets, which if I don't hit, then at least I know there may be other factors to look at, not just dismiss to age.

Got myself some winter running tights using a voucher I won, and ran in them over the Christmas period. Opted for the 'Gore Element' tights which are superb, warm without being sweaty, close fitting but not restrictive. Can recommend them for running in clammy fog, mist, frost or snow.
Cheers!
