Wink How dedicated are you?

Imagine the scene...it's a dark, wet and windy evening and your schedule tells you to go out and do a 6 mile run when:-

1. You see your favourite soap is about to start,or
2. Footie is about to kick off, or
3. Your dinner is ready to eat, or
4. The phone rings, or
5. Your other half suggests a really EARLY NIGHT.

What do you do?

Go for a run.
The run should be the most important thing in your day. If you miss it for Eastenders you should be ashamed.
If you go for the early night you can at least run later!

1. You see your favourite soap is about to start... run, coz I don't watch soaps
2. Footie is about to kick off... run, coz I'm not interested in footie
3. Your dinner is ready to eat... run, coz what else are microwaves for
4. The phone rings... run, I'll phone them back later
5. Your other half suggests a really EARLY NIGHT... run with him, it's a great start to an even better night

These might not have been my answers a year ago before injury stopped me. Now I'd give anything to be able to go out for 6, 8, 10 miles injury free in any weather.

Go for your run at 6:30 on dark, wet and windy mornings, then the evenings your own.

I love nothing better than running in the dark...

The only time I won't run is if I am very tired, although having said that I have some of my best runs when I have been feeling less than great.

Fairly dedicated once I am following a schedule what a geek

1. You see your favourite soap is about to start - Run
2. Footie is about to kick off - Run
3. Your dinner is ready to eat - Eat - only because my other half will have prepared it and I would never insult him by leaving it for the microwave or to get cold
4. The phone rings - Run
5. Your other half suggests a really EARLY NIGHT - Stay - because my other half doesn't run

Run - every time.

As for situation number 5, like Bond I'm an early riser. So, no problem there, I hope.
