You're right Steve, nothing comes close in sporting terms like beating the Aussie's in their own back yard at cricket

TT - Frankly I'm shocked at that declaration - What about 20/20, that is good fun to watch.

I think Sir Garfield Sobers (6 sixes in one over) playing for Notts would have fun as well Steve.

What are you trying to say Granty?

If the highlight of the sport is batting or bowling, and that can take a lifetime between deliveries,I really don't see what cricket has to offer.

What a waste of a willow tree.

DEAD THREAD!
Tortured and eventually killed by... CRICKEzzzzzzzzzzzzt (I can't seem to be able to type the word without falling asleep).

... Meanwhile, back on topic...
... Played a lot of sport at school: soccer, badminton, table-tennis, tennis, basketball... and of course cross-country/athletics.
There was a time when soccer was more dominant than the running; but as we got older, the lads learned that it was a good idea to maim the quicker players in the first 5 minutes, rather than have to chase them round for a full 90. So I hung up my boots and put the running shoes on instead. So I ended up doing cross-country on my own, which was fine really, because I could do the school course in about 25 minutes... get showered... and be off home before the first half of the maiming/soccer was over.
