Nike running shoes that fit training chip inside?

Hi has anyone had any experience with those nike training chips that are only supposed to fit in certain nike running shoes, i got bought one for my birthday but didnt realise you had to have the shoes aswell. They're not that expensive but has anyone tried it in normal trainers?

Stotty you can buy laces pouches and a thing called the istrap so you can strat them to your existing trainers. Look up istrap on ebay - they only cost a couple of quid.
