Size 2 - Shoe Advice

Hi, I'm looking to have my wife join me on some runs soon. The problem is though, she has tiny feet - size 2 - and we are having trouble finding her suitable running shoes. We have had various advice from 'specialist' running shops along the lines of 'don't buy kids size 2's, you'll be too heavy for them' (she weighs 7.5stone btw) or 'just buy a size 3 and put on thick socks'. I'm not entirely convinced by this advice and am sure there must surely be footwear out there for these wee feet. Anybody know of a suitable shoe?

No expert either I'm afraid but the suggestion of a larger pair of running shoes and a pair of socks sounds Ok to me, I was always told to buy a pair of running shoes a size bigger than you would normally wear.

Good luck.

I've always bought running shoes a size up.
The accepted wisdom is that you should be able to press the width of your thumb between the end of your toes and the end of the shoe to allow for expansion when your feet get hot.
