I take my hat off to the runners who are actually RACING. ... It is a race; not a fancy dress parade. Oh no, I'm wrong there. Majority rules. It's a fancy dress parade with a few attention-grabbing runners to the fore.

I agree.

I've entered next year's London Triathlon and listening to MP3 players on the course is banned for that very reason.


I also never listen to my Ipod on a training run - I find the music distracts me from running and I find I slow down.

What if someone ran dressed as an MP3 player?

Or would that cause a rift in the fabric of space-time?

I can train with an MP3 player or the radio on but in a race they are just distracting. each to their own i say! se la vie
