Medal + t-shirt = perfect combo  Especially if they manage to get decent t-shirts you can actually wear or run in or something
It's quite nice if you get a figurine or something, but I never know what to do with them

I hadn't either. Mine are currently "displayed" coiled up on a shelf in the spare room. I only have three at the moment, but my instructor's upped the pace of gradings a bit, so I might have 5 by the end of the year, if all goes well.

No need to go abroad for beer at the end of a race..Great East Run in Feb each year handed out 2 beers per finisher this year

They used to give a piece of local lace at The old Nottingham Marathon. Do they still? Is IT still on the calendar?

Personally, a letter on re-cycled paper telling me they'd bought some goats or whatever, for an African village would be cool.Keep them in a folder and have a look at them every now and then

Sod it 2005??? and there was me thinking that Avatar pic was really you. The Bear's really me you know.....honest. Glad to know they're still doing it Nottingham and the lace that is. Also, as there is a healthy regard for beer in this forum, did you get to the TRIP TO JERUSALEM? Maddest boozer in the world!!
