Green lake and Pink lake? Something to do with different salt concentrations, apparently.
Another 163 miles into Southern Australia. We actually hit civilisation a couple of times on this leg. Penong had TWO streets (First and Second) and FOUR terraces (North, East, South and West). After crossing the endless Nullabor, the street-namers had obviously lost all of their imagination!
Then there was Ceduna, a much bigger town. After passing through there, we left the Eyre Highway and continued South on Flinders Highway, ending up about a mile North of the small town of Smoky bay.
Right, I've just added the extra miles on. We're now about 2.5 miles North of a small town (?) called Haslam. Another place with about 6 streets... 4 of them with the same names as that place Penong we passed through earlier.
