Well I woke up this morning and have noticed that my shin-splints have virtually gone after 4 weeks of stretching and taking things easy. Went for a 5 mile run on wednesday, rested yesterday and no sign of pain today so I'm definately going out running today and sunday.

Good luck to Ed and Richard, and anyone else who's racing this weekend.

I'll try and make a mental note of your number ed... I'll be aiming for sub 1:25:00, my 10k says (using teh powers of race predictors) that I should be good for a 1:22:14, but I doubt I have the speed endurance for that! PB is Stratford last year (1:36:32) so as long as nothing major goes wrong, I should easily be on for a new PB!

You don't mean that - might have to dig out some old threads from last summer !!

Good luck to those racing.
