we do 7pm - 7am 3 nights one week, 4 the next but it's fine.. usually surface around 2pm from bed and get a good run or whetever training I want and still have time to relax before work (unless training for a mara - then get a 16-20 mile run and straight to work, but the endorphin rush helps make me mellow for the night so nothing stresses me much

That's ok if you can get your sleep, but I'm a single parent to 3 kids with home to run as well.

I just couldn't get regular sleep... the longest I went without sleep was 42 hours! I realised in the end that I wasn't superwoman so had to stop the silly night work stuff

wow dunno how you manage - mucho respect! I am a "single" dad - I put it in inverted commas cos my daughter lives with her mum so I am not the one who has all the day to day responsibility. I thought it was hard balancing my life till you said that!! I guess I take it for granted sometimes...
