Question ipod

Anyone run with an Ipod out there?
If so what do you listen to?

I was advised to listen to audiobooks, as music can alter your rythm subconciously. So I have a few (at the moment, I'm listening to Alice in WOnderland). I also have some comedy but I'm thinking of ditching that. It's very hard to run when you're pissing yourself laughing at Jack Dee at the Apollo or I'm sorry I haven't a clue...

Either some musics depending on how I feel or the enduranceradio.com podcast

I have an iPod shuffle currently loaded up with Take That, Robbie Williams and loads of stuff downloaded from iTunes. I'll occasionally stick a radio4 podcast on there as well.

I've not heard of enduranceradio.com before, will have to give that a try.

Greg - isn't it a good idea to alter your rhythm when running though - breaks the monotony and alters your pace a bit. I tend to listen to stuff like Bob Dylan and Van Morrison - maybe that explains why I run so slowly...

I love my Ipod Shuffle - couldn't run without it. I find it's best to listen to quite aggressive music like The Prodigy or The Chemical Brothers. Have listened to slower stuff but it does break your rhythm and messes you up.

I run with an iriver. I like listening to speech rather than music - so I use 'juice' to subscribe to free podcasts (Chris Moyles show, Nasa updates, various radio 4 downloads etc). I find keeping my brain engaged distracts it from what my lungs and legs are up to....

juice is a bit of free podcast receiving software. haven't got a link but googling juice +podcast would find it. it has a bunch of podcast link directories already set up, which is how I came across the Nasa stuff - wouldn't otherwise have thought to have looked for it..
