Sore Knee (Quadriceps Tendontis)

Can anyone offer any advice? I was diagnosed with Quadriceps Tendontis in September 2005 (having put up with the pain for several months before doing anything about it).
Since then I have stopped running altogether but am keen to start doing something again.
Any thoughts on treatment (physio did not seem to help much first time) and orthotics (I had some before (following a previous shin splints injury) but they were hard and quite painful to use.

Have you been doing some strengthening exercises - are your inners quads a bit weaker? I would spend some time getting used to your orthotics walking around the house and when you can comfortably wear them all day I gradually start introducing some running into your walking e.g. 1 min walk, 1 min run - 2 min walk, 3 min run, 1 min walk, 5 min run etc until you can run comfortably for 30 mins, then 40 mins, then 50 mins and finally 1 hrs.

Find your self a good therapist, they should itentify prolem, rest is not the answer!!
