Not An Injury As Such - Dry Feet

Over the last few weeks I've started suffering with very dry feet.
The area to the front of my heels has kind of split and is very painful when walking, nevermind running. I've tried using Vaseline and some of the other half's moisturiser but neither seems to be making much difference.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd go to a chiropodist, but I can't really afford it at the moment.

Sounds nasty - you might need some antiseptic to stop any infection and if using a moistuiser I'd using something non-perferfumed like E45.Also have a look at www.drfoot.co.uk

Thanks for that, I looked on the website and then popped down to the chemists to pick up one of the creams. The guy in the chemists said the stuff in question is really good.

I should probably have just went to the chemist in the first place, but I never even thought of that.

Sometimes the most obvious solutions are the hardest to see. I used to get dry skin on my right heel and the skin would split but since I've had my orthotics its not been a problem.
