Its St Luke's 5km charity run Gloucester park 16th sep 11.30am, i done this last year which was its 1st one but was well organised. This year there making it more inviting to the less competitive runner, as there was a lot of team runners there last year, i missed out on 3rd women as well so im aiming for a PB this time. If your interested contact Kerry Knowles 01268 272292 for entry form and i might see you there.

An update on injury, went running for the first time since accident, changed route as i didnt feel great and about 2.5miles my top of shoulders and neck hurt so struggled back home with sore back too. Feel really disheartened about it really,as i was doing so well.

(((Hayley))) Hope you are feeling better soon. It's soooo frustrating when you can't run isn't it?

Hayley please be careful, don't be in a rush to get back running too soon. There will be plenty more races, one race isn't worth making your injury worse.

You, and your back come first

Im going to do this 5km on 16th sep then might hang up my running shoes for a couple of weeks, unless i gain back all my motivation up until the race.
Since the accident im not running as well as i was or hoped and in turn have lost motivation in it, the only way forward i think is to have a break and start again. Dont know why, but maybe thats what i need, who knows. Ill keep you informed because i bet i cant keep away from those shoes for longer than a week.

A break will do you good and you won't lose much fitness. Spend the time doing some stretches and go swimming.

Motivation will soon return once you've had some time off...trust me!
