Pressure in legs

Occasionally on runs i my legs feel like the pressure is building up in them, i continue running until it is to hard to continue, although it is not painful. After awhile it feels like the pressure has gone down and i can start again. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just really tight muscles? Is there anything i can do to prevent it?
cheers

Is the feeling of pressure you describe in the lower legs? I'm wondering if it is compartment syndrome and if it is I would get it checked out by a decent sports physio.
