Thanks for the support Guys.

TT. I could feel it getting slightly tight in the last part of the run,but once I had stopped it really did need icing.Just a bit uncomfortable today.

By the look of your signature, things don't look like they are improving?

Not much TT.

Just trying to be patient.

The kind of work I do dosn`t really allow me to rest it.

I`m icing the foot every day and not running.

Stupid though it might be,I`m still planning to start on Sunday and see how it goes.

Any chance of beating my pretty soft PB will have to wait...........Maybe Southend will come at the right time for me.....

That is such a shame Dave, I wouldn't normally tell people to take pills but have you been taking any ibuprofen to perhaps take down the inflamation?

I really have my fingers crossed that you will do well on Sunday, if it's not the pb you are looking for I bet you still get one all the same.

TT

I think Trin was right last week when she said that the problem under my foot may not be connected to my ankle problem.

The ankle seems to have setled and isn`t causing a problem.

Under my foot is the problem. No sign of swelling, just a pain that runs from just in front of my heel towards my little toe.

Dave... it may be worth trying to walk around in your running shoes? (or some old ones).

I had a pain under my foot similar to what you describe and I found the just wearing my old pair of running shoes around the house gave it some decent support and helped it recover.

Really interesting you should say that Richard.

Put them on last night to go out to the garage, and it was the most comfort I have had for days.

Get down to the west Country on Tuesday night, I'll shout you a Blackthorn before we hammer Watford (1-0) anyway.

Hope the foot recovers soon.
