sorry but it will take a while if it is that sore. take a break, do lots of friction massage across the tendon yourself, ice if it is sore after walking, do your stretched including heel raises on the stairs and keep getting the deep massage as that does the trick eventually.
you might be off for 3 months but coming back too soon will just maintain the injury
been there and i know it is depressing but follow your physio's advice and it will be all right in the end
