Just had another thought Leece. The zennish "Chi" approach wouldn't do you any harm either. It all depends on how good you think your imagination is. If you are good at maths forget it I'm not a big fan of chemical based Western medicine, but I don't want people to think I'm going off on one again. No I'm not a doctor, but I have studied these things because of helping my disabled partner through her pains.
Seriously though I could share some thoughts. If you want, mail me or if you and others are happy I'll share those thoughts here. Up to you.
I have asked admin to remove though, so I may not have access much longer

Why?
I'm intrigued by the idea of Chi running, but I won't bother investigating it if you have any justification for saying this. Me being a maths genius an' all.

beta blockers are precribed to prevent migraines but they do not have any effect on migraines when you have them...
they work by lowering the blood pressure to prevent migraines...
side effect of beta blockers are dizziness, lightheadness and drowiness...
if you are getting these effects then you may have low blood pressure...
GPs should routinely take everyone's blood pressure with migraines but i know this doesn't always happen...
if you haven't had it taken then make sure you ask your GP to do it...
btw, standing on a ballbearing will not help migraine... that's nonsense...

Don't knock it till you've tried it
Seriously, I would have said the same, but I know that when I was younger, my mum used to be able to relieve my migraines my massaging my feet in just that spot. It doesn't seem to work any more, or maybe my husband and myself don't have my mum's magic fingers , but maybe there's some truth in it - even if it's just that it's relaxing, which does often help to ease the symptoms, even if it doesn't make the migraine go away completely.
With migraines, I work on the principle that if it works, then just accept that it works, even if there's no rhyme nor reason. Even the medical experts still don't understand migraine properly and while I think it's highly unlikely that feet will ever prove to be linked (!), I'm still happy to go with whatever works for me.

What ever happened to somebody asking a question, and people giving their responses and leaving it at that so that the person asking the question can decide with methods they would like to look into further??
As has been mentioned many times already, it's very hard to judge emotion or 'tone of voice' when typing on a forum, so for everyones sake I always find it best to a) think about what you're typing, and whether it could be mis-interpreted (regardless of if it's meant to be a joke), and b) when reading something that could potentially be offensive, try not to react to it and enter an excessively heated debate.
People may think they should be able to say what they want, but in my opinion that's not the case - this is a friendly public forum where anyone should be able to come, read it's content and not feel uncomfortable. Please forumites, can we try and hold back any personal grudges that may be developing and stick to the topic(s)?!
EDIT: I've now deleted the unnecessary posts, if people wish to continue the discussion, please feel free to do so privately

Well said! I only joined last week and it is a friendly forum. I was on another and really it was so bitchy, I just didn't even post on it.

Cheers Richard
I walked away last night after my last post, deciding not to rise again and wishing I hadn't already, so thanks for deleting.

I think anyone who needed to say anything managed to say it, and it appeared as though all posts had been read by parties involved... posts were only deleted to save guests and new members having to trawl through a heated discussion to find the relevant info to the thread title - no harm done I hope!
GoSlow... it'd be really appreciated if you could come back and let us know how you've got on
