I'm doing race for life in support of my friend steph who didn't want to go it alone - her daddy had cancer, but he's on the mend now, so yeah, it's very important to her and therefore me

Plus... the money you give to cancer research goes towards giving money to people like me so we can research in to treatments and stuff So yeah... everyone should take part!

I'm doing RFL again this year - I think it's a really special event and you will find other runners/walkers/joggers etc are very supportive and friendly, not do competitive as racier races

Only advice I would say is that if you intend to try running at all, start near the front otherwise you will spend the first 1/2 mile at least trying to dodge past all the walkers.

My friend wants to actually run it, shes joined a gym and is doing really well, and I obviously want to run it - not competitively mind.. but it would be silly for me to not run it, so I guess we should stand nearer the front. She has got SOOOO many sponsors already, no one has sponsored me really... ahwell, so long as someone is getting sponsored!

RFL is the reason I've taken up running, I want to be fit enough to run the whole thing this time next year. I wasnt quick enough to sign up for my local one this year so now I have a whole 12 months to get ready, I cant wait.

I am not racing competitively so would be happy to bung a couple of quid on your form.

When I did the London-Brighton Bike ride last year there was a web linky so people could sponsor from afar. If you have something similar let me know.
