I was discussing this race with someone recently. A fast course apparently - definate PB potential steepler!

I know a couple of people who have done Berlin marathon, they both enjoyed the experience and said it was a good event.

Thanks.
This might be the big target for me this year rather than the 50k race.

Not done the marathon, but Berlin is a great place. I was there last month for a few days break and loved the place. Definitely worth staying around a few extra days after for the site seeing.

I don't know the course but Berlin seemed predominantly flat when walking around and also from the top of the TV tower!! (for a bit of site seeing/history do a Brewers Walking Tour, €12 each but well worth it)

Berlin is THE fastest marathon venue. Tergat holds the record from 2003 of 2:04.55
