Hi Carl

try this link http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/events...mHome=&sp=&v=2

There are three pages for September races and you could change the search month at the bottom of the page if you don't see anything there

Hey there Carl
Hi Carl,

Well i used to go to great yarmouth and the norfolk broads with my family(originally a londoner) when i was smaller. Great Yarmouth is a little errrrrrr boy racerish to say the least... But they got nice chips there and the kids enjoy the rides there....

I live about 5 miles from Great Yarmouth and 4 miles away from lowestoft i live in a little village just in between them both so i dont get to witness them posing up and down the promenade regularly

Hi Carl, so sorry to read your story. I can't imagine what you've been through.

The first thing that comes to mind is the fact that you already do a sport which may lend itself to some kind of fund-raising. Is there no way that you could organize some sponsored mountain-biking event.... maybe a trek along one of the country's long-distance footpaths for example? you could rope some of your biking mates into doing this with you perhaps? This is just an initial reaction to your enquiries... which may save you the time and effort of "switching disciplines".
I wish you all the best in whichever task you set yourself in order to raise awareness of, and money for your cause.

doesn't sound like marathon training ...

you can still go running with hangovers you know...

i find it's the best way to get rid of them... much better than lying in bed feeling sick...
