I used to live in Berlin too. I was tempted to do this marathon as the city is pretty flat.

I ended up entering the Frankfurt marathon instead though, as it gives me an extra month to train for the race. Has anyone done this marathon?

Paul Tergat has done the Berlin Marathon and I think he would recommend it

The Porto Marathon takes place in October in the North of Portugal. In its 3 editions the course changed 3 times. I ran it last year and, despite the very few entrants, the course was fast (winner in 2h09m) and the views really good. All downhil and flat apart from a steep, 200m climb in the first 500m and a long one in the last km - though not too steep, at that point every uphill bit seems like Ben Nevis

Thinking of running the Pisa Marathon in Italy next month. Has anyone run there?
