How did you do - were you pleased - did you raise stacks of cash - and would you do it again?

    Questions, questions!! 8-) x

Hi Sam, less than a week away now! Are you ready? Try not to let the nerves get to you, I'm sure you'll be fine and enjoy the big day! Take care xx

Thanks Sam, I've only just seen your message. I've now arranged to stay the weekend with my friend again after being quoted £550 for a hotel for 3 nights (You could go abroad for a week for that!). Thanks anyway and good luck if you are running x

Good for you - First race ever!! I used to run 10k's and the North Run years ago but lost interest and took a break out. Earlier this year I decided pretty much the same as you "can I"? and entered the Edinburgh Marathon and loved it looking back and I thought "can I" all the way to the line. The North Run is always packed with runners and spectators and it's those who get you over the line, so I'm sure you'll be fine! I would love to get in a 2hr time but its looking slim!

Is it the Benton cat and dog shelter by any chance? I got my cat from there, he's 17 in September and still going strong, apart from having hardly any teeth x

Great day out and really looking forward to it now x

  7. barnaby bear
they dont go running with me - i tried it once and they both kept running directly in front of me and then stopping dead thinking i was playing
to be honest i have really bad o.c.d- (not sure if you have heard of it?) but it surrounds my dogs and looking after them - so i stress real bad over them - i love 'em but can make myself quite ill worrying over them too
    i'm nuts

aww....bless - you will have to put a pic up of her
i have 2 stray dogs - 1 is a retriever cross collie that followed me home 1 day from the park some 14 years ago !! he's knocking on a bit now - but by gum - i love that dog more than anything else in the world !
the other is a black medium sized lab something or other - got her from a dogs home and she must have been battered - took her 2 weeks to come out from bejind the sofa she was so afraid- she's fine now - had her 8 yrs.
i have had 2 others in the past but lost them a retriever called ashley - he got leukeamia aged 7, and another stray from manchester dogs home called laura - lost her to mammory tumours.
ehhh...these dogs they break our hearts dont they ! little furry things they are
alise my black 1 now has had to have 2 baths this week - she was not impressed ! first she rolled on a dead bird !! then today some fox poo - little bugger

i know !! to be honest it made me feel like leaving the forum after being on here everyday for 3 years !! i just wanted to leave when i read that . i dont think they do kick them really you know - i think they are just saying it trying to provoke a reaction - ??
i love dogs more than anything - i think if anyone kicked mine i swear i'd kill them ! xx

awww- i know what you mean mate .....its the owners - not the dogs isnt it . there's no such thing as a bad dog- only bad owners!!
staffies are gorgeous dogs- but like you say people are prejudice against them . there's one near us and she trots up to people and throws herself on her back to wait for a tummy tickle....good owners !
i cant read the threads on people ripping dogs to shreds - it proper upsets me too - i've had some heated debates on here makes you mad doesnt it
    xx
