You want tips from me According to most forum replies I get I am probably overdoing it. If it was me I would treat it like I was starting from scratch and ease back in. Last thing you want is to make it worse again. Good luck!

BTW, I don't really do kids, but yours are cute. Bet they are more trouble than they look.

Cous cous is lovely. I use it in salads for work. Your right it does fill you without it being bloating. Yes all set to get back on those pavements Monday once hubby is back and I've hosed him down of mud. Knee is slightly weakened but I'm running up and down the stairs just to see how it fairs and so far so good. It's been 2 weeks today since I did it but feels a lifetime really. I shall have to start at the basics which is very frustrating. walk for 3 mins and run for 1. I shall do that every day I think instead of alternate days like I used to do so I can build myself up a bit quicker. The egg things for you sounds good. Omlettes filled with tomato, onions and mushrooms and ham (no cheese) although you could use a laughing cow triangle light which is very low in cals to add a bit of cheesyness?

Any tips on getting back to running?

Morning. Sorry missed your message, there was no flag to say it was here.

I find if I rest the following day is harder so I an having easy days instead where I walk more. I am also thinking of pinching her protein as I eat no fish and as Mrs H dislikes eggs we rarely have them so I am probably low. I tend to use Cous cous rather than rice as I find it less stodgy.

The weightloss wouldn't have to happen if I hadn't let it creep on and there is only me to blame. I remember about 5 years ago holding my stomach in and thinking I don't look bad considering I am 30. Reality was I was 15-16 st and seriously unfit.

How is your knee? Still on track for getting out Monday? Bet you can't wait!

Hehe not murdered but they soon could be on death row! Perhaps some rest days might be a good idea although I'm sure with the progress you have made your keen to get out there as much as poss.

Imay have a look at that whey powder as I know I don't take enough protein in. Not a massive meat/fish eater as I love my pasta and rice more and I dont combine the two ie meat + pasta.

You have done fantastic with your running and weight loss. Mrs Hrun must be thrilled.

Hello stranger. Thank you for the friend request, it is a pleasure to accept! Wondered where you had got to.

I am glad your knee is improving, albiet slowly. Walking on it may be a good thing to stop it going stiff. Don't rush back to the running, however tempting.

We are doing great. I ran 10K yesterday but my calves are stiff so only ran/walked 5 today. I may need to have a rest day as the extra weight I carry puts a lot of strain. Mrs is taking whey powder for added protein which supposedly aids repair. Loads of threads about why you do/don't need supplements but overall and taking her diet into account she thought it was a good idea (She understands far more about nutrition than me. I eat, I get fat. Simple.

Have you murdered the kids yet, cooped up at home?

    Keep Smiling!

    hello there.

Feeling very sorry for myself today. Kneeis imptoving and went for a bit of a walk yesterday and it's still so sore after so no chance of running on it yet. It's getting me down and I hate being cooped up in the house. Need a run in the fresh air to clear my head. I'm off on annual leave from work this week and had so much 'me time planned' which has had to be abandoned.

Sorry for ranting off........you doing 10K on a dialy basis now and how is the Mrs coming along? Totally 100% jealous
