I had a look at your training and i can't see any track sessions. How can you run such fast training without it? Surely if you were to do track sessions you would be much faster?

Alright mate just to say i checked your traning blog and your endurance is awesome. I was impressed with your ability to run 27 odd miles in training but what got me was your 10k in 34 min road run which would suggest your 10k time will be down at 32 or 31 or even faster.
I am hoping loner sun runs will boost my endurance to break 35/34 mins for 10k this May. The Baker Hughes 10k in Aberdeen is really good for pb setting you shoul come up.

hehe great stuff! to be fair, I feel like I'm going to have my work cut out to stay with you - especially as you're doing another marathon before VLM so will have a big headstart on the endurance front. But hey, as long as I get my sub 2:45... I'd be happy for you to get 2:40!

Stu... have you submitted your VLM 'good for age' entry yet? I was just wondering what time you'd predicted for yourself? I stuck down 2:44

Ah that's a bit of an arse... a right arse in fact! ah well, at least there's no pressure to beat my Edinburgh time (since you did that at London), and I can relax about you breaking 2:45 before VLM

Indeed I did pick up a little injury, though getting back to rights now after 6days total rest, have managed 2x very easy 5mi run without ill effect. I don't think it was marathon related tbh, almost certain it was due to old trainers as I was starting to feel get a few tight muscles and little niggles before this, checked how far I'd ran in the trainers and it was somewhere in the region of 610miles... a bit of rest, some new trainers and everything seems fine and dandy!

As a result though training has been virtually non existant. Looking forward to getting stuck into some speedwork over the coming months though. Hows training for Berlin?
