Why? are you going to warn the whole of Barnsley to get off the streets, there's a mad woman running their way lol? No seriously i'm not sure just yet I had a telling off by the hospital this week for over doing it since my op, cos its not healing, but i'm not one to sit and rest thats boring, and then i see how mcuh enjoyment Megs getting from it, erm could be cos he gets away from me for a few hours lol, but we also have a 05 year old and both work, so its difficult at the min, cos meg wont let me go out on my own on an evening for safety reasons (not sure if he means mine or the publics) and we cant go out together cos we have no one to look after Cooper I wouldnt join a club cos im too shy to talk to people face to face (on here is fine though) so its a bit tricky at the min,I onlyjoined here to get info help and advise for Meg, but then i see how mcuh enjoyment everyone gets from it, and i feel jealous that I cant share it

Well I hadn't thought a warning would be required but maybe Barnsley needs advising of your intentions!!
I'm sure Meg is only concerned for your safety...then again!
Don't believe you're too shy for an instant!

Really telmadee you will be ok - socialphobia is quite common. I've suffered to some degree but not a bad as my mum - people just tend to think I'm stuck up but really I'm a squirming mess inside.

I keep telling myself life is for living and it wouldn't be brave if I wasn't afraid.

So your Avatar should show you as an octopus then!

Well why not go to a club meet with Meg when you are fit and get to know everyone together. Most runners are decent boys and girls so once you turn up to a few club meets I'm sure it'll help you get over your shyness. It's just that first step....

I work in an opticians, smae job all my working life, and in there im so different, patients come in and ask to see me cos they say im friendly, but outside the workplace im terrible, some of the mums at school told me they thought i was stuck up also cos i stand away from everyone by myself i dont make eye contact so no one talks to me, but recently one of the daddys has taken it upon himslef to be my playground buddy, and as much as i try avoid him he manages to find me lol
