Hello from a newbie

Hello everyone from a newbie,
well not really did a bit of running about 25 years ago when I was fit and young!
Trained up for the Great North Run, got my number and shirt and two weeks before the race had an accident at work and broke two toes!
Have always tried to stay fit, football and weight training being my main activities untill I got married 17 years ago.
Started to run again last year, bought myself a pair of Asics from a sports store but after a couple of weeks had to stop because of severe pain in my knees, put it down to old age and not the incorrect shoes.
Decided this after looking at many web sites about how choosing the right shoes is very important to visit a specialist running shop to check my running style.
Ending up with a pair of Mizuno Wave Creation 8 which seem great, really pleased with them, any way been running/walking for two weeks now and am enjoying it.
Saw this web site and thought I would get some inspiration! off to Mallorca in two weeks for my 50th birthday so looking forward to some nice runs in the sun.
Hope my introduction is not to boring or to long, only meant to say hello!
Thanks for looking
Paul

Are you saying that getting married stopped you keeping fit?! Women, eh?

Glad you've seen the light again...take it steady so you don't get yourself injured and join a local club in due course.

Welcome to RF btw
