Good Luck Nellie,

Snacking isn't all bad, but it makes it hard to keep track of what we eat. I do it all the time, if I run out of reserves my blood sugar levels hit rock bottom and I get the shakes.
I tend to find that cutting sugar and sticking to the complex carbs and proteins stops me craving chocolate and sugary things. Caffeine raises the blood sugar levels and has the same effect as the sugary things. I have lost it lately, no willpower, if I want to run I need energy so I eat, but all too often it's the wrong food! Also working shifts I eat more!

keep us posted, I think that weight and food stuffs are all so relevent to running, but everyone tends to cope differently..............she says with a bottle of red wine by the PC!!!!!

snacking has been proven to be more effective then eating 3 main meals a day, tests were carried out two sets of groups and group 1 had the 3 main meals and group 2 had the same calorie content but in snack form, and group 2 proved to be 25% more productive, so there you are if you prefer to snack there is nothing wrong with it as long as it isn't rubbish you are eating boo hiss......

Group 1 found that they were having dips in between meals, where constantly grazing you shouldn't get the dips.

well for one thing we only had 3 cakes each . . plus the small free bit . . and as for forcin' Trin to have some Galaxy!!

excuse me!!!

can I just suggest that if you ever meet Trin, out there in the real world . . keep any chocolate you may have in a lead box . . because if you don't . . Trin will know . . she'll be able to say what kind of choccie it is just by the smell . . and she'll talk you into sharing it . . and she'll make you think it's your idea to do so . . and next thing you know . . no choccie!!!

an innocent bar of choccie left lying around the house doesn't stand a chance . .

don't say I didn't warn you!!

phew.... was it only 3 cakes each, well that's alright then

and Rich.... how could you say that when you know only too well that it was you that first suggested...most strongly, I might add....that we finish off the half bar of Galaxy. And furthermore.... when I broke it up into pieces did I or did I not give you the bigger bits...hmmm! hmmm!!

Steady Edwina... don't you think those chocs are best looked after by me... I'm only trying to help you stay disciplined

Absolutely!!

I ran it back in the 80's when it was the Mars London Marathon... the only thing I remember from then is going through the finish funnels and marshal after marshal just handing you loads of mars bars... but having just run a marathon it's not the sort of thing you want straight away so I was carrying around loads of them for ages after until I got to my bag.

I'm glad we don't get tubs of Flora though
