Low carb eating out
Where is good to go when you want to eat something other than salad? I'm avoiding white carbs and am struggling a bit on where me and the OH can go for dinner tonight!

That's the choice you make. You need to adjust your mindset. Nothing more delicious than a decent piece of meat and a huge fresh salad.

Steak with a lovely peppercorn sauce and side salad?
Or salmon fillet in a white parsley sauce with side salad?

I'm just not a huge steak fan, salmon sounds better.

I'm making myself hungry! Why do restaurants not have a brown pasta/rice option?

It's perfectly logical from the point of view of the providers. Nobody would buy it so why would they have it on the menu. I've struggled to buy brown spaghetti here in some of the supermarkets! How are those on limited incomes supposed to even try to eat better when it's just not even available in the shops?

Exactly! So frustrating. And when you do find the healthy version its usually at least twice the price of the crap stuff

Mind you, eating out is a bit of a treat so most people wouldn't mind some spuds I guess

Carbs are good for you! Just saying!
Go for Risotto... Go to a fish restaurant, basked cod with proscuitto, spinach and mushrooms.
Go for Cous cous.... with chicken breast, red peppers.. or add to a salad with tomatoes, sweetcorn, lemon, cucumber, spinach.
If you run, you need carbs... simple as! Why else are we here!

Look for an authentic southern indian place to eat... Cheep as chips, vegetarian, tasty as, and no need to eat processed carbs as theres a hugh choice of veg/bean/pakora dishes
