Sports Drinks

Does anybody take sports drinks with them on runs?

Are they really more beneficial than just plain water?

I do and unlike some I like Lucozade Sport.
In simple terms isotonic drinks give you a sugar boost and help replace salt loss which water doesn't. Water is better to pour over your head though when it's hot!
You should take some drink with you if you are out for an hour and don't wait to become thirsty before drinking.
