What do I eat ?

I have a 10 mile race Sunday morning, which is good.
But have been invited to a family get together Saturday evening.

Venue - Chinese restaurant.

I shall not be partaking in booze of any kind. But what do I eat...?

No pasta in a Chinese. Any recommendations...?

Hi Dale, I think avoiding chilli dishes would be wise, or too much meat. A wise move not drinking too! I did a 10k a couple of years ago after a few too many drinks the night before, and my legs were like lead. Felt great by the end though!

Well Dale the snail.
I would go for plain boiled rice and some form of veggie dish.
I suppose your diet consists mainly of green veg anyway.

Why not have some pasta at lunch, whatever you fancy at the Chinese(it's a family do so you want to enjoy yourself after all) and a banana for breakfast.

i eat loads of carb 2-3 days before a big run, and only fruits in the morning of the running/race.

i think everybody has to find their own routine, what and when to eat.

good luck with the run

xxx

Well, the meal went quite well as did the race. 10 mile multi terrain, hills, grass, mud and water. Loved it.....

Had soup, then a prawn dish with noodles. Was good...!

No booze or dessert. Not so good...!

Did consider the 'Spicy Noodles', thought they may make me run faster (like the wind).
