Unhappy Hospital Blues?

Just dropped OH off at hospitsl for knee arthroscpoy. Nurse who checked him in wound him up a little about his diet and his weight so he wanted to walk out. I had to get heavy and told hime he had to stay - do you think he will be alright?

He'll be fine SE. It's the same op as I had last May. The physiotherapists had me up and walking (without support of any kind) within a few hours. Recovery was quick too. Just follow the RICE principles (Rest - Ice - Compression and Elevation (I think)).

And spoil him a lot.

And anyway, nurses who criticise in that way can't really be good nurses (IMHO). So just ignore her/him.

She apologised to but his kneeis fcuked - he damaged his cruciate ligaments in a motorbike accident some years ago - he's been told to lose weight as well and cut down on his protein and carbs. Not a happy bunny.

He's a bloke... which means that when sick or injured they go into 'little boy' mode... he was just a little scared and hiding it under being wound up by the nurse. It's perfectly natural and I'm sure he's fine

Hope the arthroscopy went ok

Karen - he's been told he willneed reconstructive surgery ar some point but he has totake 4 weeks off work.

Nasty injury that so hope he recovers in time.

Talking of bunnies we lost 3 to a fox on Monday
