just wanted to update you on things, everything is moving so fast now, yesterday the chap (chairman of local parkinsons disease society) rang and asked if he could come to our home to meet me, I said yes but Meg wouldnt be home for a while etc, he said it was me he wanted to meet as i have been doing all the fundraising etc, I am a shy person in real life and was terrified ( i asked my sons to stay down stairs with me for support lol) he was a lovely guy we had a great chat, but then he asked me to come as guest of honour to the next meeting, I am well scared, i said i dont do public speaking, i would rather crawl under the podium and die lol, but he said i dont have to do a speech, people have asked to meet me just to chat etc, I'm terrified im gonna feel a right plank, even though i am enjoying the fund raising etc. He has offered to get members of the society to come support Meg roadside on the race day too with banners etc, so it's all good.

You've probably tried this already Telmadee but if you confront your fear you might defeat it.
Any way good news about all the support Meg will get.

Just remember, the thought of doing most things is actually far far worse that actually 'doing it'. - I have blind faith that you will be fantastic.
Just get them to do a 'Pod cast' so we can download and listen to whilst running

The chroncile (newspaper) came and took the photo of Meg on Monday, I'm gonna beating those women off with sticks now lol.
I went to the Parkinsons society meeting yesterday too, i did say to George (chairman) that i didnt want to get up or anything, (havent been very well lately, so didnt feel like getting up to speak) he was fine but as i sat in the audience he introduced me and said to stand and give a wave, OMG i was glowing but i waved and all these old dears waved back, bless em i was well choked, seeing all those sufferers there was horrible, it broke my heart i came out and sat and cried in my car, but onthe other side though, they were all so cheerful, even one chap (whos hand i kept holding) he was in the worst stages of it, and for anyone knowing anyone with parky will know what it is like, he was slumped in his wheelchair couldnt hardly lift his head even, drooling slightly but his good lady kept wiping it, she was joking about shoving him in his wheel chair and not putting the brake on down a hill etc, just lovely jokey banter, i was really touched, he kept smiling at me and mumbling stuff, she said he was thanking me for what Meg and I (her words) are doing for them, i literally bit a piece of my gum so i didnt cry. As the afternoon went on, i said to this chap, that i was going to give him my phone number and if his wife 'bullied' him agian i would adopt him, he was laughing and saying yes, and his wife said not to encourage him (laughing) they were such lovely people, loads of them shook my hand and 04 of them including the chairman, gave me a kiss as i was leaving. I was so touched, i feel so honoured to be helping these wonderful people.
