As a Hammer one has to get used to losing and relegation battles..it goes with the territory.
But.....when there's no passion that's a different story. Mercenaries are ruining the game as a whole...most premiership players don't give a stuff who they play for as long as they get their £50k a week for strolling about on the park once or twice a week.
I watch less footie these days than when it used to be MOD only.

What's going on down there? Lord knows....Eggman and Curbs certainly don't!
Still I'll get the chance to watch them lose to Tractor Boys and Delia's mob next year!

Now that you ask - yes - I arranged my brother's stag do (I was his 'best man') - and arranged an afternoon of go-kart racing for all of us - followed by an evening out.

It was an absolute winner.

And go kart racing tracks are all around the country, but need to be booked well in advance. You could mix that quite well with a night out in London.

One of my brothers did that for his stag do....karting, meal and then into London for some ale etc and into the Comedy Club for the late show.....it's definitely an option.

How come you were the "Best Man" Karen? Did you go on the Stag do?

I guess my brother just thought that his little sister was/is his best friend. Also we're both immigrants to this country and so miss all the friends that we grew up with, and that might have had something to do with it. Either way, I was very flattered to be asked, and think I made a good speech on the day too.

And, of course I went to to the stag do, as did some other girl friends of my brother's. It doesn't seem to be so unusual these days for stag or hen do's to have both guys and gals in them.

I think Al Murray might have something to say about that.

Latvija will be freezing in December! Riga is a beautiful city, especially the old part, but the last time I was there in December/January time it was so cold my face felt numb after 1/2 hr outside.

Just don't let it end up like my mate's stag do.

We were all set for a night away - but his (now) wife decreed that we will go to the same city as her (Nottingham - where we live) on the same night and end up in the same nightclub. We very nearly came to blows over that!
