I have spent the last week deliberating over whether I should buy the Tom Tom 510. I do admit to getting lost alot and next week I have to do a trip that takes me from one side of London to the other.

I don't know why I fear buying one so much, I have this feeling that I will never be able to get to grips with using it and downloading all the stuff that comes with it and I will overload it with info and my other fear is that it will take me on some random route (I have heard a few horror stories).

Can anyone recommend whether I should buy one, I was thinking of goign to halford tomorrow?

They are supposed to be very user friendly my husband wants want to stop the arguments over directions....bit difficult to run with tho...

I have a Navman (poors man option compared to a TomTom) and I basically punch in a postcode and away it goes, simple as that.

Don't know if a TomTom is the same but make sure it has Postcode search facility.

I use this bit of software on my PDA and its brilliant...
