running presents??

It's my girlfriend/ running partner's birthday soon, was wondering if anyone has ever given or received a great (or rubbish!) running related present?!

I received some running gear for my Birthday that was greatly received.

I'm sure she will be made up, if not, send it to me, I'm sure I'll squeeze into it !

hehe thanks!

We're running our first half marathon in September, have a training plan but looking for something more serious long term - can anyone recommend a good marathon training book? I saw Marathons for Dummies, but not sure if this is really what we need!

What 1/2m are you planning?

For my partner's 60th I entered her in the 'Guy Fawkes 10' which was run on the same day as her birthday, November 6th. I also arranged with the organisers to give her Number 60 and to present her with a bottle of Champagne at the prize giving. They went further and had balloons to welcome her over the finish line! She wont forget that in a hurry!
Cheers!
