I was flicking through the sat. channels this morning looking for something to waste 20mins on whilst I woke up and came across a new channel..........which has inspired this question....

The channel is called.....Dave!

Noticed it myself last night. Strange.

Not exactly bbc 4 was it...........

Is this UKGold that has been rebranded as Dave ?

No idea...and why Dave?

I think it is Granty.

Whos name would they use if they rebranded SUMO TV.............

LOL - I heard somewhere that as it all 'yesteryear classics' it was renamed Dave as in 'every one knows someone called dave !!'

I'd like a female action film hero to be named after me

I noticed that last night - I think it was someone at UKTV history having a laugh.

Edit - I've just noticed the caption at the top of the screen says "Dave" as wel - they must have run of of history programmes.

There were a whole load of adverts saying "this channel's changing its name to Dave, home of witty banter", so believe it or not, a lot of effort from supposedly intelligent people is behind it. Whether the new name will actually help at all is a good question...
