i've gotta taper but for a different reason, it's this time next week i'll be in 4 Badminton tournaments, and one Badminton cup final, 7 days, 5 tournaments, not gonna end pretty!! so i need to go easy so i'm in peak condition, it'll be a lot of hard work, both singles and doubles - can't wait though, i'll be nationally ranked as an England player at the end of it

I dont start work till 9am on a Friday so it gives me chance to get reet stuck in at the gym.

So this morning hammered the weights had a 25 min run and a relaxing swim to top it off. Feeling great now.

Cant wait for a few beers tonight

I'll be hoping you fix the typo in your signature. I think you meant to type "collapse" else it's a private joke, but I read it and see "prolapse" *shudder*

I'll also be running my "long" run on Sunday, a whopping 8.8km

Nothing on this weekend so heading back home (only 40 mile away, but not been in ages) tonight. Some new running (routes I've never tried yet, but planned for ages), see family, evening with mates... Can't wait

I'll be going parkrun tomorrow morning if I get up in time. Then out supporting the mighty Orient for the rest of the day.
If my knee survives tomorrow, I'll try a slow 10 miler on Sunday morning.

We made it again I like Fridays.

This weekend I'm making soup. The farmer comes round every Friday and parks his marked stall in front of my flat, so I went out this morning and bought a load of carrots, a neep and tatties and will be making the local delicacy of mince soup. Yummy!

Then on Sunday I have a 6 mile XC race

Ooo, I love Fridays too.

At the risk of sounding like fool, what's mince soup, Silly Fencer? Kinda intrigued!

Planning on doing an hour's Pilates as soon as I get home from work today, followed by some cheesy action movie no doubt. BodyPump & interval session tomorrow (ouch!), bit of Xmas shopping in the avo (I know I know... I'm early but gotta spread the cost, right ;-) ), then a nice long run Sunday followed by some much needed gardening. Might even give 'Fast Girls' a try - anybody watched it?

Have a great one everybody!

Oh yeah, bodypump tomorrow after Parkrun too

Mince soup is mince browned in a pan. Water added (couple pints). Grated carrots (about 6 small ones) and neep (half). 2 or 3 beef oxos and 1 veg oxo, 1 or 2 Knorr stock cubes. Two large potatoes. Add onions if you like them, I don't. All quantities are rough, just throw it all together and see how it tastes and looks.

You get a nice beefy liquid soup with loads of whole bits to chew on.
