You see, some people are able to do that; "force" food down which is not to their liking. I've had a life-time of wishing that I was one of those people. But when in that situation, there's no way that such food can even so much as pass my lips. Physical impossibility.

Sometimes I put a plate in front of myself, and cannot eat it. Even more so since I started running, not sure why. I'd rather have more small snacks.

But I do remember balling my eyes out at school as they forced us to eat everything on the plate even if you hated it, God them dinner ladies were EVIL.

Please tell me you are not one of those Veggie types Dimple!!! If you weren't meant ot eat meat they wouldn't make it taste so good!

Pedestrian, in my job I have to travel to some less than pleasant places round the world if I were to be a fussy eater I would starve. When I am home I enjoy good food and good home cooked food at that. But whilst away I eat to live I don't live to eat

I know exactly what you're saying, Squint.
I'm really sure I'd starve. But I'm not really sure if the word "fussy" is an accurate description here. I would perceive "fussy" to indicate a conscious and deliberate refusal to eat certain foods... rather than a simple inability to physically force food down.
I really do wish that there were more foods that I could eat.

Sadly id disagree, i work away lots. I i can manage my diet finely with the things around.

Admitadly im concentrating on building sensible upper body muscle at the moment rather than running. But you can quite easily eat sensibly whilst out and about.

I think the stark truth, and i see it with colleagues of mine is convienance (i cant spell if you hadnt of guessed) I make a effort to buy brown bread sarnies with tuna, baked potatoes, pasta salads. I like to visit Harvester, salad cart and chicken....great fun. Carvery's are a good bet, just pile your plate with veg.

Sorry im my personal opinion there is NO excuse not to eat sensibly, with out sounding like a Bootneck its going back to your "personal admin".

All our body's are amazing and beautifull things, why spoil it with laziness?
(im not implying your lazy by the way squint, he he)

In this case, the children should keep well away from the teacher who implemented the Frusli confiscation policy.

Stacka, I dont think squint is trying to suggest that he eats fast food in great quantities but merely that if he were a fussy eater he would struggle on his travels to find anything suitable.

Sorry ped, while I accept what you are saying, I still think it's ingrained fussy eating. I have just returned from a weekend camp having been chief cook for 150 children and adults and have seen all types of eaters, be they fussy or otherwise. What was interesting was that when faced with hunger, they'll eat anything.... particularly hash browns!!

Stacka, when you are stuck in the middle of nowhere in a second or third world country on an accient oil rig where you don't speak the language and the nearest shops are sometimes hundreds of miles away you eat what is put in front of you or you starve. It certainly makes you apprieciate good food when you get home. Infact it is amazing how good tap water tastes when you return from such trips.
